You have absolutely flawless models. No kinks or creases. Do you use spline modeling? Also, do you subdivide your model further once you get the first shape and then detail away? I'm just stuck because I've been using poly modeling a lot but I've gotten to the point that I want to try nurbs modeling in order to stay away from little irregularities that I get when I start detailing and subdividing my models further. Thanks. Great job

NURBS just drive me nuts. I use subD poly modeling for most things. I model things pretty densely then subdivide. Bad habits learned from pre-subdivision modeling days. I've been doing this crap for ages since DOS based software.

Yes, NURBS are pain in the butt, I'm using NX- it's a little more fun than other surface modelers, but I think I'm going to hit the wall soon. I've had my first encounter with 3d studio r4 back in 98. Problem is I've never been so devoted. I mean I looked at your portfolio and was amazed at your devotion. How long does it take for you to model typically, do you ever get tired of it? The good thing is you're inspiring me to get back to doing this too.
I've studied this photo compared to other renders and thought that DOF effect really adds a lot of realism to your work- keep using it.

That is an incredible render. So photo like.
So how long did it take you to build the model?
