Based on concept art by Malaveldt : [link]

Mike has become my favorite conceptual artist lately. His ideas and art are very inspiring. I wrote him with a request to recreate some of his stuff in 3D and received his blessing, so here's the first collaborative work. This is a "retro-future" style armored vehicle. Some people term this style as "Skortch", where new concepts are fashioned from older hardware in a future where supplies are limited and recycling technology is a must.

Modeled, textured and rendered over a 4 day period using Mike's sketch as a guide with details from my own imagination and research of WWII and contemporary armor.

A "Technical drawing" version can be found here: [link]

I dig how the ambient lighting shows on the vehicle here, and the weathering and grunge are great.

You might as well do a 3D scene..something small. Do not use a picture. Does not look nice. Make it "stylized" and "iconic".
Icon by, a good low camera angle.Camera closer to the floor. With a longer angle. Then take few renders from different angles and close ups of the model to show it off. Sorry for the long comment. But as you can tell I love the model you have created. It deserves better textures and the above :P . Good luck. Do a nice HD render to make all fear your skill :P

Thanks for the detailed comment. This is really quite old work, so I'm not too interested in reviving it.
