Along came a Spyderby `dangeruss

Digital Art / Vexel / Vehicles

Another "vexel" (vector - pixel hybrid) creation. This time a Toyota MR2 (MR-S in other locales). I seem to be somewhat obsessed with this car, it's my third deviation based on this particular body style. Either that, or I'm in a rut.

Some interesting details about this one - The interior and wheels were done in 3D and composited with a line-art render, for a detailed, yet still tooned look that merges well with the pure illustrative elements. Matching the camera angle to the illustration was somewhat of a challenge and ultimately required some careful manipulation in Photoshop to make it all work together.

i have to say i love your stuff

and yeah, i think the MR-S is a pretty bitchin car, too bad i'm a Nissan freak and i can't bring myself to support Toyota

if only they offered that car with a better engine. I still may get one eventually though.

Little critique, the gas cap feels like its not following the contours of the body, it doesn't look like it sits there on the surface at all.
