While walking along the beach at sunrise, I paused to see...

This piece gets a lot of views, comments and questions. Here's some history behind it.:

This was done around 1996 with an early Beta copy of Bryce 2.0 (Windows) from Kai Krause and Eric Wenger. This was to have been featured on the CD gallery, but did not make the submission deadline.

Over the years this has been used, shared, uploaded with and without permission to hundreds of online art and wallpaper sites. You'll see it all over, but this is the original.

Daily Deviation

dangeruss produces yet another wonderful wallpaper which people have used before, including myself for a week. The amazingly surreal landscaping mixed with abstact metal rings display some of the best chroming effects ever created in this excellent wallpaper. ( Featured by devart )

Does this mean I can use it --I will not sell any art work --but I would like to display it

This really is amazing. I decided to have a look at the most popular deviations submitted in the first year of dA and this was at the top. Even if it had been submitted, today, with all the technology we have, now, making things like this far easier to create, I believe this piece would still be well-loved. It really is great.
