Vexel: Vector-Pixel Hybrid.

Still a "tuner" car, but in a totally different vein. This one's a custom Datsun (Nissan) 510 circa 1970 with a neat engine swap and HKS / Greddy turbo installation. RacingHart C4 wheels were modeled in 3D Studio MAX and "toon" rendered, The rest is all Photoshop. See my Journal and Scraps for more on "vexels"

That Datsun model reminds me of a Volvo or BMW. I thought Datsun only made trucks.

I'm curious as to why you often render the wheels in 3D Studio Max. Does it seem to work better that way, and give you the details you're looking for with less effort? Or is there another reason?

The engine detailing is super, I really enjoy seeing your Vexel work.
