Looks a bit weird .. not sure how you sit on that wooden-looking seat to play the keyboard. Does something move out of the way to allow access? Other than that, looks like a really nice place.

Hey Russ. Such a cool render. Different from the vehicles and watches but just as enjoyable. Did you model everything in this from scratch? if so.... I cannot even comprehend the amount of work that goes into this :S

I'd say about 75% is created for this image. Some of the detailed accessories are from past works or internet finds.

Absolutely stunning! Love the look of the place, tasteful yet shmexy design and the lighting! I would give up...a lot to have that kind of natural lighting at my place. You truly are the master of 3D rendering

This is epic. Great concept, great texturing, great perspective, great lighting, great rendering. I really am in awe. Are all the elements found models and textures, or did you make some of them?

I'd say it's about a 50/50 mix.

What do you think when you render interior compare to mechanical object such as cars...?

Advantage?, does experience from setup and rendering objects help much? Usually studio lighting for objects and manually lighting for interior... DOes it affect your ability?

Today is hot here... and I find myself aks some odd question which perhaps never got answered.

Interior renders pose their own set of challenges -mostly lighting related. The modeling and texturing is much easier than with cars. Keeping things to a consistent scale is really important, since we're familiar with moat of the objects, any discrepancies jump right out.

The lighting is quite different than with cars. You may notice that most of my interiors feature natural light. Once you delve into fixture based lighting and their particular effects and qualities, it really gets fussy and harder to get right.

I should start doing something like this...
You wouldn't happen to know how take care of the 'floating' effect would you?
When my objects are square with other objects, they look like they are floating or on another layer...

It's a tight spot, but there's 20 inches between the wall and the table edge to scootch around to it.

There's another chair there, I'm assuming there's enough space near the window to get around the desk.
