3D Studio MAX 5.1 - Photoshop 7 - CorelDraw

A 2001 Subaru Impreza with a semi-fictitious paint scheme from a contemporary JGTC entry. Cusco is a Japanese tuning and aftermarket component manufacturer specializing in drivetrain and suspension items.

Modeled and rendered in 3D Studio Max. Raytraced reflections and HDRI environment from HDRImaps.com.

Astute watchers will recognize the pit scene from my Nissan LeMans render [link] - I've redone quite a few things within the scene to improve the image, but that's the beauty of 3D - reusing stuff :)

Vector logos created in Corel Draw and imported into Photoshop to produce the paint graphics.

BTW: This probably is your best render ever! The HDRI really lightens up the realism. Ohh my... send me the scene so I can tear it up and learn from it XD

Great job as per usual but i've noticed one thing... it is realistic modeling... it is realistic texturing (for the most part) but the cars never have PERFECT BODIES or perfect tires

add some tiny dings... bugs... dents... and scrapes here and there either in 3d or post-processing in photoshop... everything just looks to clean and makes it look "unreal" vs real.

very impressive work russ as per usual for you, I really like the use of the carbon fiber on the headlamps and side mirrors, I must say it looks too damn good to be 3D.
