Maserati GT-R Prototype by dangeruss Maserati GT-R Prototype by dangeruss
Vexel: Vector - Pixel hybrid - [link]

Yet another collaborative work with Maurizio Mancin. This time Maurizio took the pretty mundane Maserati 3200 GT [link] and turned it into a "real" GT car. Working off of his pencil sketch, I did my usual "Vexel" treatment.

Wheels done in 3D Studio (the weakest part of the piece) and the Painting done in Photoshop CS2. Logos were created in CorelDRAW and placed / modified in Photoshop.

I struggled with the color on this one. I think it was at one time or another, every color in the spectrum. I wanted to do it in blue and white like the MC12 Corsa Maserati, but I could never make myself happy with it. Ultimately the "white" paint layer looked the best, so it stayed.

Nice job, it's really good. Is it just me or is the car on a slight twist, perspective isn't perfect. Still awesome work though...gj.

Like what's the purpose of them anyway? Sports car or luxury?

Awesome
I can see why you like it in straight white as opposed to the MC12's blue and white. It works better in straight white :D
if anything, the gaps at the rear section of the front fender and side skirt diffuser and the rear diffuser and the side diffuser attached to it could be closed up so it'd hav the appearance of one panel.
I also reckon the rear wing seems a bit weird with the wing posts being that close together. The rear wing may be better suited to having its posts further apart.

another crazy car, there's that testarossa rib again, there seems to be some perspective issues the roof looks kinda flat.
And that rear wing yeah it fits the style of this car but its not helping the perspective i think maybe if it was 'skewed' or what ever a bit to the right it might help.

Also TWR are dead since 2002 but as you based this on the 3200 GT in theroy if the car existed it could have been ran by TWR when it was new :p
