Here’s a 3D thematic rendering that I’ve wanted to do for a while. Before getting into 3D, this is how I got my model car kicks. I’d wanted to bring my past and present together and make the scene as realistic as possible. The car is a custom Mitsubishi Evo IX set up in time attack fashion. The paint scheme is inspired by one of my favorite user created schemes in the video game Forza 4. (kudos to screentag user: SEANO).

It was fun to create all the tools and paints and relive those days.

This "background" is all 3D. Models and textures were created by myself. Others may use the visual metaphor of the model paint items, but this is all original work.

ah, delete that last post, I just read your response re: the ultimate modelling question. Does take talent to do either.

Great work as always man.

Cheers!

What do you enjoy more, making 3D models virtually on the computer, or physically in real-life?

Very Nice work, I had to look twice to see that it wasn't a photo of someone's Model on their modelling table. :D Love the detail, Is the cutting matt texture a photo of your actually cutting matt ? and How did you get the paint pot textures to come out so clear ?

Once again love the work. Keep it up. :-)
