Porsche 918 RSR by dangeruss Porsche 918 RSR by dangeruss
Huh... I finished this in March last year and never uploaded it! I got sidetracked with another Porsche project and I guess I just thought I had uploaded it.

Old news at this point, but it's Porsche's 918 RSR Hybrid racer concept. Basically a car without a series to run in.

3D Studio MAX - Vray - Photoshop.

Funny and classy -- looks like they combined the looks from the 904 and 918...

I don't think I've ever seen a porsche that I like, this one is no exception.

Great job on the render though, like that's a surprise.

Class! the car is perfect, the only thing I can say about it is the wall at the back look's flat, more depth of field, more detail or darken it. I can see that took some time!

lovely body paint! I wonder if it's based on vray car paint or vray chrome?

It is a MAX Shellac material comprised of two vray materials for the base and clear coats. The base layer has a dramatic diffuse falloff from near white to near black with a very broad diffuse highlight. The shellac material is simple with a high specular value and high reflectivity.

Right, I'm familiar. People use it too, although I'm not sure how realistic is that. It does the job anyways. On the side note speaking of being curious, did you know that vray is a Bulgarian product?
