Vexel: Vector - Pixel Hybrid [link]

My obsession with Subarus continues! This time a hot blue WRX with a Chargespeed widebody kit and loads of details. Based pretty much on my favorite tuned Subaru (Ferdie Ang's Team Horoki WRX) this is my most detailed Vexel to-date. The engine, sadly, is inaccurate for Ang's modifications, but I had no decent references for what's under his hood. What a snake-pit of hoses and wires this beast was! I just about gave-up 3 or 4 times during the creation. The engine took several days effort alone. I feel the headlights came out pretty well on this onem though I'm pretty sick of painting late model Subaru headlights after this one. I'll have to do an older "round-eye" model next

Wheels are 3D - Modeled in 3D Studio MAX and "toon" rendered to suit the image. The rest is Photoshop work. The background is a filtered photo.
