Another collaborate effort with Michael Cheung from azines.com. A bright orange Toyota Celica with lots of attitude. I wanted to try something at dusk with some lighting effects and here's my first attempt at this. Obviously the car is lit by some light source out of frame. Wheels were modeled in 3D Studio MAX and rendered to suite the toon styled image. The rest is all Photoshop CS work.
Cool cars, but can you make anything else? Your talent seems to be wasted on just cars. I like them alot but there is so much more to be desired from such a good artist. Why not futuristic vehicles, or motorcy
Truthfully? I wouldn't get angry, at all, for one; I would take it into consideration. That's why I made it so I could get comments, so I could better myself in art. Is this not what everyone is here for.
You shouldn't get angry. You know that I don't know you, or your "pet peeves". (Honestly, I think all people with pet peeves are weak and insignificant.) You did ask for comments on your page, and whether you like them or not, you are going to get them. Deal with it, and stop being a bitch. If your so insecure about your work then make it so no one can post comments about it; or you can stop posting it all together.
I'm just giving a suggestion. You're cars are cool, but I think your wasting your talent. Is that hard to understand. When I gave you the ideas I was referring to, that was that. They were just ideas. If you can't do it, then you should just say so. I just thought it would be good to take suggestions so you could at least have a little proof that you did the work. Your art work is good, but you produce a lot at one time. Maybe your doing the work, or maybe you copying and pasting. Doesn't matter to me, just wondering if you could "produce" something more.
Hows that for walking over your "pet peeve", b!tch.
He just explained he finds it disrespectful that you think he is "wasting his talent". Then you come back with "I'm just giving a suggestion", but then, again, add the "wasting talent" thing. If you are just giving a suggestion, then suggest, don't judge.
Choice.
And about the lots of work at one time thing; many artists like to work on several pieces at once, or simply choose not to submit as they complete a piece. Are they all copy/pasters?
You apparently didn't get the hint that I was using the last paragraph to retaliate against what he said, Just to get him angry. Why? Because people who get angry with people who give a simple suggestion need to be get this weakness out of there mind so they are able to handle this situation again. Constructive critism, at it most vain... learn it. Which brings me back to the suggestion feature. If he doesn't want suggestion dissable it. Simple as that. Take the bad with the good and learn from it.
I'm not going to waste my words. I'm sure he understands what I am saying, whether he agrees with it or not. Doesn't matter anymore.

You've just stepped all over my pet peave, so stand by while I jump in the middle of your shit. This is not particularly directed at you though.
Who is anyone to tell me my talent is *wasted* by not drawing something you want to see?! I don't create my personal art for anyone but me! If someone enjoys my work, great. If not, that's fine, but don't presume to change my passions to suit anyone elses. You wouldn't ask Ben Evenchik to work with bluegrass music, so why attempt to dictate what type of art I should create. Since 1979 I've been a professional artist, and I had planty of opportunity to draw and create all sorts of crap I have little interest in. I find comments like this to be extremely disrespectful. Essentially you're telling me "nice stuff, but... I'd like you better if you did what I want you to" Why the hell should I even care? Do I work for you? Are you paying money to view my art? It's a gift that any artist posts their work for you to see for free, so perhaps just enjoy it for what it is, rather than question the artist's passion.
Seriously what would be the difference in my saying to you "Hey, I looked through your gallery and you're pretty good with that camera, but I feel you're wasting your skills. You should take pictures of naked bloody men." How would you react?
Sadly, no carbon fiber on it. = (

Maybe a bit more is needed in cutting out the city a few white edges sticking out
