Artist's Comments

Based on concept art by Malaveldt : [link]

Mike has become my favorite conceptual artist lately. His ideas and art are very inspiring. I wrote him with a request to recreate some of his stuff in 3D and received his blessing, so here's another collaborative work.

This is a fantastic high-speed cable car that gained popularity as ground based traffic jams in mega-cities became unbearable. Far cheaper than building subways or laying rails, these Wirebusses became the favored inner-city transport.

Modeled and renderd in 3D Studio MAX over a 5 day period. Textures were created in Photoshop and procedurally.

More Deviant, more Angelic, more Aggresive than ever...

Very well done. Textures and lighting look a little too perfect, but from the thumbnail the render fits into the photo very well.
